Update v0.3.0 Released!

Changelog

New Features:

• In addition to the HTML version, standalone builds are now available for Windows and Android.
• As a test, one music track and one sound effect (SFX) have been added at the beginning of the story. Feedback is welcome to help decide whether to expand this across the entire story or remove it altogether.
• SFX and background music (BGM) settings can now be adjusted via the menu.
• By request, a Dark Mode option has been added for story text passages in the settings menu.
• A new "Start" passage has been added.
• The story continues with new content.

Changes:

• The Discord link has been updated from an invite link to a community link.
• Font styles have been slightly adjusted for better compatibility with Dark Mode.

(Windows and Android Only)

• Options to change font type and font size have been removed due to display issues caused by automatic DPI scaling. DPI scaling is calculated based on the shortest screen side and assumes a base resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The minimum supported resolution is 854x480 pixels.
• Credits have been slightly revised.

(HTML Only)

• Several JavaScript functions have been optimized.

Additional Notes:

• The avatar system (paper doll) and character stats planned for the sidebar have been postponed to a future version.

Topic: Requested Images

No images were planned for this version, but I'm still considering gradually adding them in future updates. I would create the illustrations myself, but this would affect development time—so I can't yet say when they’ll be included.

Topic: Game Downloads

Starting now, changes are being made to the download process.

For the Android and Windows versions, only the latest available build will be offered for download. The HTML version, however, will continue to provide archived older builds alongside the most recent one.

You can download The Diary via itch.io and Patreon.

Preview builds previously shared on Discord will no longer be available.

However, I’m considering offering early access to new versions exclusively for supporters and patrons.

(If you use the itch.io App, you can directly install your prefered version and Launch it via the APP, but this mind also add some bugs... I don't recommend launching The Diary directly through the itch.io app—especially not the HTML version—because the app runs it via an integrated in-app browser.)
